HORSE TRIALS

Recognized Horse Trials - November 5-7, 2010

Divisions offered will be Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, and Prelim. Please be sure to enter online at www.evententries.com    See Omnibus Listing for details. 

Need stabling for the Horse Trial?  Here are some options for you:

  • Idyll Time Bed & Barn Approximately 2 miles from Rubicon – contact Gina Blake at 703 443 2992
  • Cill Dara Farm Approximately 20 minutes from Rubicon – contact Diann Landau at 540 822 9052
  • Copper Ridge Farm - Less than 3 miles from Rubicon - contact Greg LaFave at 703 626 0085.  Rooms/Stabling/Camper/Trailer parking with electric only.
  • Kristin Noggle - Middleburg, VA; Approximately 35-30 minutes from Rubicon - contact Kristin Noggle at 540 272 6374; center aisle barn has rubber matted stalls; bring your own bedding; cost is $30 per night with turnout option; also has apartment to rent at $75 per night; cannot accommodate tractor trailer sized rigs.
  • Morven Park –   Approximately 7 miles from Rubicon – NO STABLING AVAILABLE IN JUNE - call the Morven office at 703-777-2890 or email spedlar@morvenpark.org if additional information is needed.   Stalls are $40 per day; shavings may be available at an additional cost.  PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED UP FRONT. 

    Please note - schooling / hacking at Morven Park requires up front permission and the payment of a schooling fee.  The cross country course at Morven is closed at all times.

CROSS COUNTRY SCHOOLING

Rubicon Farm remains closed to schooling to preserve the quality of the tracks and footing on the Cross Country Course. We do open for schooling one day the week following our Recognized Horse Trials ($50 per horse/rider combination) and also offer Horse Trial Volunteers a free schooling pass and a separate schooling day dedicated just for our Volunteers.

OPEN SCHOOLING DAY - Tuesday, Nov 9th   9am - 3pm    $50 per horse/rider combination
       No pre-registration required
       All riders must have grounds person with cellphone
       All members of party must sign Release Forms prior to riding out
       Proper Cross Country attire required in accordance with USEA rules (approved safety
           helmets, medical armbands, riding boots, safety vests)

ADDITIONAL SCHOOLING DAYS WILL BE ADDED THIS SUMMER.

 

SUMMER FUN JUMPER SHOWS

~ DUE TO WORK SCHEDULES, THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOLING JUMPER SHOWS THIS SUMMER ~

 - 4pm - $15 per ride; riders may enter class as many times as they wish; current coggins required; ASTM approved helmets and riding boots required.

Classes: Puddle Jumpers 18" to 2
              Beginner Novice 2'3 - 2'7
              Novice 2'9 - 3'
              Training 3' - 3'3
              Preliminary 3'3 - 3'6

Classes all based on closest to OPTIMUM TIME - no speed rounds, no jump off.
